Why are all the things happen? Before you answer it, I want to express an opinion. In Indonesia, I see the demand of academic value is so high. When the students get the higher score, parents, teachers, and all those around the will be more proud of these achievements. It makes us all forget a really important thing, the moral education.
Students continue to be encouraged for studying hard, but they are not given the opportunity to build a social life, emotional intelligence, and spiritual. Every day, students are only given Mathematics, Science, Language education, Physics, and Chemistry. All of those must be learned and memorized.
Because of too much academic material, students do not get a portion of moral education. As a result, they are easily tempted to commit immoral acts and even criminality. They understand that the most important is the score at the end of the test, but not includes attitudes in society.

Of course, we all very disappointed to see the moral of Indonesian students who are increasingly low and are at the destruction. This should not be allowed to continue and must be addressed properly. It requires the cooperation of all human parents, educators, and government in order to create the moral intelligence decreases.
Let us create a learning system that is accompanied by moral exhortation, good behavior, and a discipline that makes students not only have a high score, but also a good morality.

Siswa terus dipacu untuk belajar dengan rajin namun ia tidak diberikan kesempatan untuk membangun jiwa sosial, kecerdasan emosional, dan spiritual. Setiap hari, siswa hanya diberikan Matematika, IPA, IPS, Fisika, dan Kimia. Semua itu harus dipelajari dan dihafal.
Karena terlalu banyak diberikan materi akademik, siswa tidak mendapatkan porsi pendidikan moral. Akibatnya, mereka mudah tergoda untuk melakukan tindakan amoral bahkan kriminalitas. Mereka mengerti bahwa yang paling penting adalah nilai akhir di dalam ujian, dan bukan pada ilmu serta sikap di masyarakat.

Kita semua tentu saja sangat kecewa melihat moral siswa Indonesia yang semakin hari semakin rendah dan berada pada kehancuran. Ini tidak boleh dibiarkan terus menerus dan harus segera dibenahi. in Indonesia”
Brothers and Sisters;
Education system in our country is divided into two major parts, they are formal and
non-formal. A formal education is divided into three levels: primary, secondary and
tertiary education. While non-formal education is carried out for the learners who get
difficulties to meet the requirements in formal education. An example of non-formal
education is PLS (Pendidikan Luar Sekolah). Both formal and non-formal education aim
at establishing the education process in our country.
Ladies and Gentlemen;
As I have stated previously, formal education involves three levels: primary, secondary
and tertiary education. Before entering primary or elementary school, children in our
country usually have attended kindergarten, or known as Taman Kanak-kanak. But this
education is not compulsory for Indonesian citizens, as the aim of this is just to prepare
them for primary school.
Children ages 7–12 attend primary education at Elementary School or Sekolah Dasar.
This level of education is compulsory for all Indonesian citizens. Similar to education
systems in the U.S. and Australia, students must study for six years to complete this level.
Some schools offer an accelerated learning program, where students who perform well
can finish elementary school in five years.
The next level is secondary education. After graduating from elementary school, students
attend Middle School or Junior High School (Sekolah Menengah Pertama) for three years
from the age of 13-15. After three years of schooling and graduation, students may move
on to Senior High School. In Indonesia, this school is basically divided into two kinds:
SMA (Sekolah Menengah Atas) and SMK (Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan). SMA is
different with SMK in their studies. The students at SMA are prepared to advance to
tertiary education or university, while students of SMK as a vocational school are
prepared to be ready to work after finishing their school without going to
university/college.
The last level of education in our country is tertiary education. Students who have
graduated from senior high school may attend to university or academy. They can choose
any kinds of university or academy based on their interests or scopes of knowledge, for
example majoring in English, Mathematics, or teacher training university.

Education brings us too many benefits, such as confidence in ourselves, freedom to decide, conscience as a whole, help us to improve ourselves, to feel fulfilled, to feel that we are something in life and that we have an end for which to live. Let me give a speech about the environment so that we can reap many lessons. As we know, the environmental conditions that we live today are very different from the environment several decades ago. In the past, we could easily find trees, now the land containing plants has been replaced with housing.
Environmental problems are not only limited to plants. If we are sensitive, many fauna or animals lose their habitat. Humans seize their place of residence, so that animals have difficulty getting a place to live again. Not infrequently, animals that cannot get a house will attack humans in order to get food.
Therefore, we should start from ourselves to foster a sense of love for the environment. Use methods that are easy and simple, for example by throwing garbage in its place, not using plastic when shopping, and saving on water use. So my speech about the environment from me, Let’s take care of the environment together.

We all know that some time ago that our and all of the Indonesian people’s moods were not in good condition because of the cultures we have. It’s because of the heritages of our ancestors belonged to us were unashamedly claimed as Malaysian’s.
It is just an obvious snatching since the fact is that the world has known that those cultures they claimed were ours, Indonesian’s.
To recall this incident, let us evaluate ourselves whether we have already loved our cultures. Today there are lots of Indonesian children and youngsters who know the best the names of foreign singers and celebrities. This is one of many globalization effects that have spread to the entire nation. R & amp music; B, Rock, House music are known better by our youngsters than traditional dances that are supposed to be perpetuated and developed. So, who is wrong?
Why did our cultures become marginalized by foreign cultures? In the educational point of view, it is surely related strongly. The most ironical thing from our nation’s behavior towards our own arts and cultures is the tendency of putting them into the lowest concern from “early on”.

There are activities outside of academics which are known best as extracurricular activities. What really saddens me is regarding why the total of extracurricular choices related to art and culture of Indonesia are highly a few even no choices at all. Most of extracurricular activities are related to modern arts from foreign countries, such as modern dances like disco, samba, salsa, anisa, and many others. There are no choices of extracurricular activity (in West Java) like gamelan, jaipong dance, and other kinds of art and culture especially from West Java (Sunda).
This really is pitiful and endangers our generation in the future time. The Department of Education of West Java is supposed to make some kind of deal with the Department of Tourism and Culture in keeping the values of art and culture from West Java. It could be a must of every school in West Java to have some extracurricular activities related to art and cultures from West Java. Don’t make the arts and cultures of West Java “meet the extinction” because of the “contribution” in educational fields that don’t “educate” the children to love for their own art and cultures. For me, the most serious issue is because this “habit” has been going on for years even tens of years. Don’t be regretful due to our arts and culture that were finally “acquisitioned” by other nations. This could be happening, why not?
Where do we have to start?
Of course we should start from our own selves. If it’s not us who love our own cultures then who else would? We must feel proud in showing our self-esteems through our cultures. Start from our selves, our families, and our surroundings.
Introduce our cultures to our little children. Our cultures are our nation’s self-esteem, our self-esteem as people of nation.
I wish my words can open up our eyes and rise our spirits on to begin loving own cultures. I am proud of my ancestors’ heritages. I love my mother land’s heritages. I love Indonesia. Please forgive me for any mistake on my words.

Dewasa ini, kehidupan manusia serba mudah dan praktis. Hal ini dikarenakan adanya semua fasilitas yang semakin memanjakan dan dengan kemajuan teknologi semakin memudahkan kita untuk menjalankan berbagai aktivitas.
Jangan sampai kita mudah terbuai yang berdampak pada menyalahgunakan kemudahan-kemudahan yang kita dapat saat ini. Sebaliknya, Kita harus memanfaatkannya untuk tujuan-tujuan yang lebih positif.

Memantau putra-putri kita agar terhindar dari berbagai macam potensi pengaruh buruk yang bisa merusak moral dan akhlak mereka merupakan kewajiban dari setiap orang tua. Orangtua harus selalu bisa memberikan nasehat yang mendidik kepada anaknya. Hal ini sangatlah penting untuk dilakukan sebagai pondasi untuk membentengi anak-anak dari hal yang bisa menjerumuskan ke perilaku-perilaku yang negatif.
Cara untuk membentengi anak-anak dari perilaku yang buruk dengan mengajari mereka pendidikan agama sejak dini, memberikan informasi-informasi yang membuat mereka bersemangat untuk belajar, mengajak mereka ke suatu tempat yang sarat akan moral.
Tidak hanya itu, menyisihkan waktu untuk mendengar curhatan-curhatan anak-anak, keluh kesah mereka untuk bisa memberi cara pandang baru untuk melihat suatu masalah serta menemukan solusinya adalah hal yang tidak kalah penting.

Arti sebuah moral sangatlah penting. Jika adat santun dan ramah sudah hilang dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, maka bangsa Indonesia tidak akan mampu menopang kokohnya pilar kebhinekaan.
Maka dari itu, marilah kita junjung tinggi nilai moral, menghargai perbedaan dan etika bermasyarakat. Hal ini dimulai dari kita yang memegang peran sebagai orangtua, kemudian kita ajarkan kepada anak-anak kita, agar bangsa ini senantiasa terhindar dari hal yang tidak kita inginkan.

The honorable ones the principle of SMA Negeri 01 Tanjung, all teachers and administration staffs of SMA Negeri 01 Tanjung and all my friends from tenth until twelfth grade.
Before I begin to give a speech, I would like to invite you all to thank Allah the Almighty, Who has given us Mercy and Blessing, so we can meet together in this blessing place. And also let’s deliver sholawat and salam to our prophet Muhammad SAW, Who has brought us from the darkness to the brightness, so we are always in the right path.
Ladies and gentlemen
It be a great honor for me, to stand right here in front of you all to give a speech about education under the title "Education in Indonesia" in this National Education Day or HARDIKNAS.
Indonesian is a great country. It has so many natural resources that can be used. It has so many beautiful palaces that can mesmerize people. It is so beautiful to live here peacefully with different cultures, languages, and religions. However, why are there still many people who live under poverty in this country? The only answer to this question is because our human resources are still low in the term of education.
If you have ever heard about the news about our international education rank, you would be surprised. As quoted form Education for All (EFA) Global Monitoring Report 2011 which is published by UNESCO and launched in New York on Sunday, 1/3/2011, our international education rank is at 69th place from 129 surveyed countries all over the world. This rank is lower than in 2010.
It opens a question that runs in my head, what happen with our education? Indonesia is a great country with many talented young generations. It was undoubted again that there are so many Indonesian students who win the international education Olympiads such as mathematics, chemical, physics and other. But why our international education rank is still low. So what happen with with our education?
Ladies and gentlemen
There must be a reason why our human resources and our global rank in education are still low. One of the reasons is that our education is expensive. For middle up to high class people the cost of our education is nothing. But for those who live in lower economic class, the cost of our education is beyond their reach. Many of them even abandon their duty to go to school just because they have to work to fulfill their needs.
Our government has made a policy recently to overcome the problem in our education. The policy is increasing national educational budget up to 20% from APBN. This budget later on is used to make education is reachable for low economic level society; to improve teachers’ quality with a program which well known as “sertifikasi”; and to provide school facilities such as library, classroom, laboratory, and sport hall.
Ladies and gentlemen
We hope the policy that the government made will make our educational quality better. Of course as a student, we don’t just sit down and relax without doing something. Good or bad the quality of education of our country also depend us. If we want to change our bad educational paradigm, let’s begin with improving our achievement with studying hard for the sake of our education.
